In this proof of concept

Get a starter from Professor Torrey, pick up a second Pokémon on the beach, then head north. Youngster Tomás waits in the middle of Route 1, and wild Pokémon wander the tall grass. Palmshore City, past the route, has a Pokémon Center and a Poké Mart. Your Pokémon keep their HP between battles; Mom and the Center heal them. Press Enter or M for the menu.
